Narragunnawali is an online platform created to support schools and early learning services nationwide in their journey to be inclusive of, nurture pride in, and educate young people about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and contributions. The platform allows schools to start a Working Group and prepare a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which involves goals and actions the school or early learning service will commit to, in order to progress towards student education and reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in their local area.
Launch of Re-imagined Web Platform
Platform Launch and Extensive Ongoing IT Support
The Narragunnawali platform also serves as a resource for teachers and community members that may not be part of any particular school or early learning service’s RAP. The system includes many curriculum resources to help plan lessons, and assist with professional development.
Originally built and maintained elsewhere, Reconciliation Australia – through the creative agency Gilimbaa – approached us to assist with the launch of a major upgrade to the site as well as ongoing maintenance and feature development. We now handle all technical development on the platform, with daily contact and support to Reconciliation Australia. We are incredibly proud of the platform and gain a great deal of joy in seeing the uptake of Reconciliation Action Plans in schools and early learning services.
If you are involved with schools or early learning services, we encourage you to use the Narragunnawali platform for resources, and see if your school or early learning service already has a Reconciliation Action Plan you can join. If not, start one!
